The route starts from the Tourist Transfer Point (TOP) Linschoten and goes counterclockwise. You first cycle mainly through the polders and follow a piece of Oude Rijn. But from Breukelen (that is after 22 km) it becomes beautiful: from here you almost continuously follow many winding peat rivers with mansions (along the Vecht), farms, mills and in the northern part remains of forts.

The route successively passes the following (peat) rivers:
- Old Rhine,
-Fights
-Fun
- Angstel (very short),
-Shop
- Old Wavre,
- Amstel (short),
- Crooked Mijdrecht,
- Meije,
- Hollandsche IJssel,
- Lange Linschoten.

In addition, you cycle along the Reeuwijkse Plassen and cycle through the beautiful town of Oudewater.

The roads are sometimes narrow and winding, so it is sometimes good to pay attention to other traffic. In addition, on beautiful Sundays and holidays it can be busy along some rivers (along the Vecht and Meije).
