Where better to take a walk than in De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park? This nature reserve is more than seven thousand football fields in size and is characterized by the great diversity in the landscape. Here you will find huge sandy plains, forests, water features and purple heaths.

The beautiful nature reserve is also known as the Brabant Sahara. Relax on the huge drifting sand plains. The wind has free rein and effortlessly blows your thoughts away, but also ensures that the landscape is constantly changing. That, and the changing of the seasons, make every visit a new experience. Marvel at the trees covered and enjoy the beautiful view from the dune tops.

You might even come across the flock of sheep. The sheep keep the heather short and eat away saplings. In this way they keep the area open and the heather turns a beautiful purple every year in the months of August and September.

Around the dunes you will find cozy catering establishments, including the Brabantse Natuurpoorten, recognizable by the four-meter-high key; A great starting point to get informed, discover nature, relax and be active outside.
