El bestiar de Galloway s'assembla al bisont ... d'aquí el títol...

Fàcil aparcament a l'entrada del parc natural al pont sobre la E403.

aquesta ruta travessa Doeveren i Merkemveld. Tot i la limitada superfície d'aquest paratge natural (44ha), no deixa de ser un bonic passeig on es visita el mateix punt des de diferents direccions . Inicialment majoritàriament forestal , a la darrera part hi ha pastures més obertes on pastura el bestiar de Galloway. Oportunitat suficient per relaxar-se en un sofà.

La caminada senyalitzada "Doeveren" és més curta (5,7 km) però permet explorar la mateixa zona d'una manera més curta.
