Kaisertal Valley to the Antoniuskapelle Chapel

The path leading into the famous Kaisertal Valley between the Zahmer Kaiser and Wilder Kaiser mountain ranges has a total of 285 steps. They represent the first challenge of what is actually a relatively easy winter hike through a wind-sheltered valley to the Antoniuskapelle, a traditional chapel built in 1711 on a small plateau overlooking the valley floor. Just a short walk from the chapel itself is the Hinterkaiserhof, where visitors can enjoy local food and fine views of the Gamsberg mountain and further into the Kaisertal Valley. The Kaisertal Valley is an absolute must for visitors to Tirol. Television viewers have even voted it the most beautiful spot in the whole of Austria.
From the car park, climb the steps into the Kaisertal Valley to reach the hiking path leading along the valley floor. After completing the last of the 285 steps, the trail leads past the Zottenhof and Veitenhof farmsteads as well as the Pfandlkapelle chapel and the Pfandlhof guesthouse until it divides. Take the left-hand fork in the trail and continue all the way to the Antoniuskapelle chapel.
