Stoumont, an agricultural village high above the Amblève overlooking the beautiful river valley. The bridges and tunnels built to lay a railway along the river were constructed by labor from our former colony, which is why this piece of Amblève was nicknamed 'Congo'. The walk uses some little-used paths including an overgrown fishing path and a path along a stream that is not mentioned on any map. The route visits most of the natural highlights around Stoumont: the 'corniche path' high on the steep slope, the castle, the green meadows along the river, beautiful forests with countless streams. The castle of Froidcour, just outside the village, is one of the most beautiful in the country and was the setting for the film 'Cambriolage au Château de Froidcour'.

Parking can be found at the church of Stoumont along the N633 (GPS Route de l'Amblève house number 26).
