AugenBlick-Runde Bad Teinach-Zavelstein Zettelberg

Impressive and panoramic circular hike. Wonderful views along the approx. 16 km long loop will leave lasting impressions on every hiker.

On this wonderful AugenBlick loop, you can enjoy the magnificent views over Rötenbach, Emberg, Zavelstein and Bad Teinach. From the heights, the view extends across to the Heckengäu and the Swabian Alb.
From the starting point, the AugenBlick location Zettelberg, we follow the old wine route past the Jahrhundertlinde (natural monument) to Emberg. From there, you can take a short detour to the Zavelstein viewpoint (on a clear day, you can see the Swabian Alb in the distance and the small town of Zavelstein with the old Staufer castle ruins nearby). We walk through the village of Emberg towards the mountain hut (view of Zavelstein and the valleys), down via the Wolfsschlucht gorge to the beautiful Bad Teinach.

The path leads uphill along the Rötenbach stream and the Wolfschlucht gorge, via the Schloßberghütte mountain hut, which invites you to stop for a bite to eat, to Zavelstein. A detour through the historic little town with the Zavelstein castle ruins is definitely worthwhile before continuing via the "Spinnerin Kreuz" to the Zavelstein hiking home. Past the crocus meadows, the trail leads back to Rötenbach.
