Rundwanderweg um den Illmensee mit Naturlehrpfad

Beautiful circular route around the idyllic bathing and fishing paradise, Lake Illmensee (Ice Age Lake).

Not quite ideal for people with walking aids, as the path has different characteristics (asphalt, forest and meadow paths).

Along the route, always with the beautifully situated lake in view, there are several information boards on the nature trail. Learn interesting facts about topics such as biodiversity, renaturation of the Andelsbach stream or, for example, "What does the worm do in the apple?".

At the southern end of the lake, a small barefoot path invites you to discover and feel different surfaces. Not far away, you will come across the "Chairs" art object with an open view of the lake.

Due to its rich stock of pike, pikeperch, catfish and other fish species, many amateur fishermen spend their free time here. You too can learn more about the different fish species and watch the fish spawn. A special observation platform has been set up along the path for this purpose.As you can see, there is a lot to discover.
