A land of contacts at the crossroads of roads and borders, Sarreguemines is a picturesque city. With its rich heritage, its earthenware circuit reveals to curious visitors all the secrets of ceramic manufacturing and the masterpieces that have built its reputation.
With its rich history, its prestigious heritage and its pleasant living environment, the charming city of earthenware also has a formidable asset within the European Union: its population is perfectly bilingual. This trump card contributes greatly to reinforcing the links with Germany, thus encouraging encounters between people and consequently its cultural development.

To see
- Museum of Faience: The museum is located in the former apartments of Paul de Geiger, director of the Faïenceries de Sarreguemines between 1871 and 1913.
You will find there rich collections of ceramics, which testify to the diversity of the styles proposed by the faience factory to cover all the tastes and needs of its customers in decoration and tableware.
- The Mill of Blies: The site was, between 1825 and 1969, one of the many manufacturing units of the Faïencerie de Sarreguemines. The building of the mill, which has become the Museum of Faience Techniques, was used for the preparation of earthenware pastes. Today it houses an important collection of machines and tools used in the manufacture of ceramics. On both sides of the building, many workshops and storage areas have disappeared.
Nature has reclaimed its rights over their ruins, and this collection of plants and minerals has given rise to the Jardin des Faïenciers, designed by the landscape architect Philippe Niez.
