Vineyard Fort Sanderbout

Wijngaard Fort Sanderbout is located in a unique place. The roots of the grapevines draw their nourishment from the ancient ramparts at the foot of Fort Sanderbout, a former bastion in the fortifications of Sittard.
A dedicated group of volunteers carefully tends to the grapevines with great love and dedication. Inside the Fort, they artisanally make delicious wine from their pinot noir and pinot gris grapes: the Zittesje Wien van de Wal.
This vineyard is part of the Route des Vins Sittard.
