The N70 is also called the most beautiful walking route in the Netherlands. It's certainly spectacular! We had not heard of it before, but after we were tipped off, we went to investigate (March 2022).

The route was created in 1970, hence N70. The route is very varied, you will not be bored for a moment during this walk. Beautiful trees, hollow roads, climbing, valleys, a winding stream, meadows, animals, viewpoints, ...

We started at the spacious parking lot on the Oude Kleefsebaan. Along the way we came across a few small parking spaces, but we like this one the most. The pitches are separated by a piece of wood on the ground. Along the way we also find various options to eat and / or drink something. There are also plenty of benches during the walk. The route is clearly marked with green poles and green tape around lampposts. Nevertheless, it is sometimes nice to have the confirmation of a GPS track. We have been on the road for 4 hours with the occasional photo stop and a short picnic.
