Go to Goronne, a village belonging to Vielsalm, at the municipal banquet hall Entente Goronnaise. In Goronne all the streets are called Goronne: the destination Vielsalm - Goronne in the GPS takes you to the village church. In front of the church, take rue Goronne 211 to 262. After 150 meters, you have the Entente Goronnaise on the left. There is ample parking. Departure from the banquet hall towards the church of the village of Saint Lucia. Cross the N822 and walk on Goronne Street 100 to 209. After 150 meters at the T-junction, turn left. After 50 meters, you already have a spade area-. At the fork, turn left towards Goronne 168 to 209. The track bends to the left and 100 meters further you turn diagonally to the right (photo with yellow diamond and H). This paved track becomes a paved gravel road after 100 meters and takes you a kilometer further into the forest and a T-junction. Turn left (photo with yellow diamond and H), after 100 meters, ignore the exit on the right and walk straight on the wide country road for more than a kilometer.

Enjoy the view of the hilly landscape typical of the Ardennes. The real estate complex at the bottom left in the distance is the former Ratz barracks in Rencheux, a hamlet of Vielsalm. At the end of the country road, turn right on the paved track and keep right a few tens of meters further at the fork then continue straight on the gravel road. After 250 meters, turn left at the next fork and walk straight. Ignore the exit on the right half a kilometer further and walk straight ahead and high (sign with yellow window). After 250 meters at the intersection of forest roads straight and another 250 meters at the T-junction on the right and bottom (still photos with yellow diamond).

After a considerable fall, you will arrive at La Comté, another hamlet of Vielsalm. In the spring you can find wild daffodils. Walk right on the wide paved track and stay 100 meters further at the fork on the right (mountain bike sign with orange triangle and 2 spheres). The asphalt track begins to rise considerably and becomes a paved gravel road. On the left is a kennel with noisy dogs. The landscape will soon become calmer, open and very wide again with lots of broom by the side of the road. After more than a kilometre, ignore the exit on the right and walk straight, now on the asphalt. On the right is a beautiful old cross made of natural stone. The village below on the left is Grand Sart, a village in Lierneux.

At the end of the asphalt track, you arrive at a large intersection. On the right is a picnic area with an information panel on the coticula, a unique rock from which grinding wheels are made. A few meters further you can see a memorial stone for Korean War volunteers (1950-1955) and in front of a World War II monument to a battle, here in the immediate vicinity, between American and German soldiers on January 7, 1945. This battle is part of one of the most famous battles of World War II, for the Americans The Battle of the Bulge and for the Germans the Von Rundstedt Offensive, in which nearly 20,000 G.I. were killed and several others wounded. Ignore the street between the 2 memorial stones and continue walking on the asphalt track to the left of the American monument. The track bends to the left. Turn diagonally right onto the gravel road next to the forest.

The gravel road takes you back to the N822 after over a mile and two right-angled bends. Cross and walk straight towards Arbrefontaine. Turn right after 150 metres. A little further on, you can see a chapel of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows. Cross the intersection, leave the asphalt 100 meters further and choose diagonally on the paved gravel road. Soon you will be walking in the forest again. After 200 meters, ignore the exit on the left and immediately turn right, not on the first forest road perpendicular to your path, but on the narrower forest road diagonally on the right. The muddy forest road becomes a drier and eventually paved country road. The view remains magnificent. Turn right at the bottom of the T-junction and you are back at the Entente Goronnaise.
