Rundwanderweg Geradstetten - Grunbach

The 5.1 km circular route leads through the Remshalden districts of Geradstetten and Grunbach. It also visits the Zehntbach renaturation site and the Bürgerpark.

The trail is classified according to the criteria of the nationwide "Travel for All" label and has the "Accessibility Information" award. All details on accessibility can be found by clicking on the "green plus" in the "Accessibility" menu item. The test reports are available in German and English. PLEASE NOTE: Flat path, but some steep inclines of up to 15% at the underpasses and bridges under or over the railroad tracks, the main road and the Rems. Several kerbs with heights of up to 10 cm have to be negotiated. There are unsecured road crossings. The route is not signposted.

The starting point for this circular walk is the S-Bahn station in Geradstetten. Here you walk on the south side of the train tracks over the ramp to track 2 towards Schorndorf on the footpath towards Grunbach. Follow the local road between the railroad tracks and orchards to the neighboring village. Continue along Uhlandstraße past a playground until you reach Bühlstraße and turn right. We walk through the underpass to Bahnhofstraße. Follow this road over the Rems and under the B 29 to the junction to the Jahnhalle and then turn right to the kindergarten. Via Jahnstraße we come to Mühlstraße and then turn right to the Welfenstraße junction. This takes us to the end of the village and on to the attractive renaturation at the Zehntbach stream. Turn left before the stream and walk up to the Bürgerpark with its busy playground and view of the "Rosenpavillon" architecture station. After the detour to the Bürgerpark, we cross Untere Hauptstraße again and walk along the wide footpath and cycle path on the south side towards Geradstetten until we reach the junction with the feeder road to the B 29. We cross this and bear right and then immediately take the first junction to the left to the "Betreutes Wohnen" building with the municipal library. Turn right at the café and then immediately left along Friedensstraße past the secondary school and the Wilhelm-Enssle-Halle to the junction with Rathausstraße. We then turn right and walk under the B29 and over the Remsbrücke bridge to the P+R parking lot and Geradstetten train station.
