The climate characterized by the municipality is classified, in 2010, as a "degraded oceanic climate of the plains of the Center and the North," according to the climate typology of France which then counted eight major types of climates in the mainland. In 2020, the municipality falls under the type "altered oceanic climate" in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only includes five major types of climates in the mainland at first glance. It is a transitional zone between oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. Precipitation is lower than by the sea, except near the foothills.
