Head up to the heights of the village of Lalobbe by following path number 54. This village, with its very specific layout, is located by the stream "la Vaux" and not far from the state forest of Signy-l’Abbaye. Go visit the surrounding hamlets, their steep pastures, and the St Nicolas valley. At the starting sign, head towards the village square. Take the "Rue haute" and then turn left to go up a path between the houses. Follow this path that runs along the St-Nicolas valley and will lead you into the woods by continuing straight ahead. After 1.8 km, at the "La Besace" crossroads, turn left to reach this hamlet. Continue on to the second hamlet "Rogiville", then turn left to go back down into the woods and return to Lalobbe. After 2 km, at the town hall, turn right to exit the village (marker 5/9). At the "Le bois de Plaincourt" crossroads, turn left. Cross over the Vaux bridge and then turn left to take the GR 12. Follow this GR along the Vaux for 620m and, at the end of the path, turn left to enter Lalobbe and cross over the Vaux again. Turn left to return to your starting point.
