On Thursday evening 15 June from 6.30 pm it is one big driving party through Nijmegen! Then The Bicycle Parade takes place: a large, colourful bicycle parade right through the city for everyone who loves cycling. And what could be more fun than cycling together: so meet up with your colleagues, family, friends or sports mates and ride along in this unique parade. Together we celebrate cycling in Fietsstad Nijmegen!
The Fiets Parade is organized because of Velo-city 2017, the world's largest cycling congress for professionals that takes place from 13 to 16 June in Arnhem and Nijmegen. The international conference participants also cycle along.
The parade starts from the Wedren. Between 18.30 and 19.30 you can take your bike to the starting square from where columns always leave. If you want a shorter route, you can start at the Goffert stadium from 6.45 pm. After 10 km you reach the Dutch Bicycle Centre on the Honig complex, from there you drive a round of Nijmegen Noord of 7 km or you put your bike down to immediately enter the cozy Bicycle Parade Party.
