Freyburg station is a railway station in the town of Freyburg in the Burgenlandkreis district. It went into operation in 1889. In freight transport, it played an important role for local companies. In 2012, the passenger traffic facilities were moved by 300 metres to route kilometre 6.5, where an interface to regional bus transport was created. The station building is a listed building.
On 1 October 1889, the line from Naumburg to Reinsdorf went into operation. Due to the busy traffic, more and more additional points and tracks were added. More railway staff would also be necessary. In 1909, an extension was added to the signal box. Local entrepreneurs mainly use the railway as a means of transport. Important goods customers were the Rotkäppchen Sektkellerei, the Kalkwerke Flemming and the Bäuerliche Handelsgenossenschaft during the GDR era.
