Monument to Adolfo Cabrera Pinto - La Laguna

The statue was inaugurated in 1926, the year of the professor's death, and is located on the grounds of the Institute in Plaza de Guillermo Rances.

Adolfo Cabrera Pinto lived from 1855 to 1926. In the town of La Laguna, Tenerife, he was appointed director of the General and Technical Institute of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where he carried out enormous educational work for more than twenty years.

But above all, by Royal Decree of April 11, 1913, he succeeded in including the University of La Laguna in the administrative organization project of the Archipelago. In addition to being a professor, he was a great and prominent journalist, editor of El Populair and contributor to many other newspapers.
