The eatery 'De Leute' in Oeren is one of the oldest cafés in the Westhoek. The blessed year 1672 is mentioned on the façade. Today, you can enjoy the classic, regionally-based West Flemish cuisine here every day from 12 PM to 9 PM. There is a weekly special from the chef, the typical kraaibiefsteak, and a côte à l’os of West Flemish White Blue. Don't forget the eel as the house specialty. The door of this pit stop is always open for a delicious cup of coffee and a sweet or savory treat. Enjoying the best that the region has to offer in a relaxed and family atmosphere is possible at De Leute. In the summer, the children play in the playground, and in winter, game dishes take up part of the menu, so each season has its charm.

During school holidays, the eatery is only closed on Thursdays.
