Border town
The border between France and Belgium, whether it is riverine or land, in Armentières, is a place between two different territories as well as a transit point.
This border is visibly characterized by the halt of urbanization on the French side and plunges into Belgian fields.
An appropriate feeling between the two countries, two cultures, can be seen at the end of Avenue Léon Blum. The French Bizet has become the Belgian Bizet. This is due to the nature of trade, businesses, the view of street construction, and the location of public space.
