Gaverbeekhippodroom and Sport Vlaanderen Waregem

Waregem is the cradle of equestrian sports in our country. It not only has an equestrian center, but also the famous Gaverbeekhippodrome. It is 17 hectares in size and is a stone's throw from the center. From the beginning of May to September, trotting races are held every weekend. The hippodrome is known at home and abroad because of Waregem Koerse, an event that has been taking place since 1847. Every year about 40,000 people come to visit.
Sport Vlaanderen Waregem, right next to the famous Waregem racecourse, is a modern sports center where you can practice most equestrian disciplines. The center is open to all riders, from beginners to top athletes, and includes an 'all weather arena', an obstacle course and a racecourse. And for those who want to take a breather: there is also a cafeteria.
