The cycling route starts at the Hof Van Riemen, the oldest still existing civil building in Heist-op-den-Berg. We are 1 km in when we ride over the Heist berg. We descend towards Hallaar. From the center of Hallaar, we continue towards the Provincial Green Domain De Averegten. We are then 4 km into the ride. Via the Langendijk, we leave De Averegten and arrive in Itegem. We pass by the center of Itegem on our left. We pass Castle la Garenne, and we are then 6 km in. Along quiet roads, we ride towards the River Nete. At the Nete, we find brasserie 't Schipke, which puts us at 10 km. After this, we cycle through the valley of the River Wimp towards the rural Wiekevorst. Upon arriving in Wiekevorst, we encounter the Wimpelhoeve. We make a detour around the center of Wiekevorst via narrow rural roads with an open landscape. Just before we leave Wiekevorst, we come across Klein Scherpenheuvel. This place of worship owes its name to its striking resemblance to the Basilica of Scherpenheuvel. Just like the Basilica, the dome of the chapel in Klein Scherpenheuvel is also adorned with stars. We leave Wiekevorst, and at kilometer 29, we pass the Kaasstrooimolen in Hulshout. Also in Hulshout, we drive through the village center via quiet roads. Ultimately, we arrive at kilometer 32 at the Kempen-Hageland route bike path, a former railway bed. We follow this bike path for a kilometer. Then, some quiet roads lead us after 36 km to the Herenbossen. We ride through the forests and emerge on the Booischotseweg. We briefly ride in the direction of Booischot and pick up the path along the River Nete again at brasserie De Pallieterhoeve. We ride past the castle domain Hof ter Laken to the center of Booischot. From the center, we take some quiet roads towards Booischot-Station. At the station, we are 44 km in. We continue down the road towards Begijnendijk. We ride through the recreation forest Bieheide and are 45 km into the ride. We then pass through the villages of Pijpelheide (47 km in) and Heist-Goor (50 km in). At kilometer 55, there is Het Pelgrimhof. This is a medieval fiefdom with a moat and wooded park, located near the border with Beerzel. From here, we cycle back to Heist-op-den-Berg. After 60 km, we return to our starting point, the Hof Van Riemen.
