After the start in the parking lot of the sports hall, the route continues along the fields west of Wingene. Halfway through, a connection can be made with the red loop in Zwevezele. Via Egemstraat and Wingensesteenweg, you quickly reach the loop of Pittem. The Hoogweg along De Schakel connects with Leendreef in St-Jan, where you directly enter the purple loop around this beautiful parish.

The Midwest Skating Network spreads out over the municipalities of Ardooie, Hooglede, Ingelmunster, Izegem, Ledegem, Lichtervelde, Meulebeke, Moorslede, Oostrozebeke, Pittem, Roeselare, Ruiselede, Staden, Tielt, Wielsbeke, and Wingene, covering a total distance of approximately 450 km. You can skate kilometers through a varied rural and urban landscape. In addition to the beautiful views, there are also nice rest spots. You discover the strengths of the 16 municipalities in three tourist regions: the Leie region, the Bruges countryside, and the Westhoek. Both recreational and advanced skaters will find something to enjoy here. Runners, walkers, cyclists, and more can also enjoy this unique network within the Midwest region!
