Shortly after the dam, we find ourselves on a real mule path, where we sometimes tightrope walk between heights and depths. In a gorge, we discover Reinhardstein Castle. Like an eagle's nest, it seems to challenge hikers like us. We will have to go around it along steep paths.
The slopes follow one another, and finally, we arrive at the viewpoint "Nez de Napoléon." A rock that rises out of the forest and offers us – as a reward – a beautiful panorama of the Warche valley. On the ridge, the trail begins to curl and follows the whims of the terrain.
Soon we arrive at the Warche. Along the banks, our route enters a valley that is becoming narrower. It becomes so narrow that the path has to worm its way through. Now we must climb the hill. As we ascend, we can enjoy one last view of the wild valley, which is marked by the imprint of the mighty fortress.
