ZW I R - Mont des Cats - Heuvelland Classic - R

A beautiful but somewhat more challenging tour, as it is referred to as Mont des Cats and the Heuvelland Classics 🤩😅

The tour takes you through a hilly landscape from the provincial area of Palingbeek to Wijtschate, Wulvergem, and along Zuidlindestraat we ascend to Nieuwkerke, from where we head to the beautiful Bailleul, then to Sint-Janskappele, and from here we climb Mont des Cats, which is also the farthest point of this tour, so we return via Boeschepeberg and Mont Kokereel.

From now on, we enter the hilly area, and it quickly goes to Mont Noir, where the legs remain under constant tension, these are the climbs we push under the front wheel, Vidaigneberg, Schomminkelstraße (Baneberg), then we descend the slopes of the red mountain to conquer Sulferberg and then Baneberg.

If you want to recharge, you can do so at De Rare Vos (Loker), as from now on we head over Loker towards Kemmel with the first climb, 't Motje followed by Monteberg. WARNING, we do not turn left onto Kemmelberg, but go down to the right to conquer Kemmelberg from Kruisabelestraat, and we finish with Lettenberg.

From now on, we head towards Ieper, where you can also recharge energy if desired. We pass under the Menenpoort to continue towards the battlefield of Passendale, with Tyne Cot as the most famous rest stop, where all the young people fell to give us a future 🙏

You will see that on this tour you will be reminded several times of what happened here during the First World War.
