A route from the site 'Originele Wandelingen'. An easy walk in a slightly hilly landscape that takes you through 'forgotten' paths and through the Kravaal Forest. The 80-hectare Kravaal Forest, mostly privately owned and partially owned by the Agentschap Natuur en Bos, is a European protected nature reserve. Together with the Zoniënwoud and the Hallerbos, it was part of the former coal forest. Even deer live in the forest, evidenced by the hoofprints on some paths. The 'Faluintjes', a special designation for the region south of the Molenbeek in Meldert, would refer to an abandoned, marshy area that has been partially made accessible by laying logs at the muddy spots. You can park behind the church in Moorsel-Dorp (GPS house number 18). In the square, you first have the Sint-Gudulakapelle and 100 meters further the church; turning left towards the church will lead you to the parking lot.
