The nature trail of Buggenhoutbos starts at the cobblestone parking lot in Kasteelstraat. This is the path that divides the forest in two halves, where the running trails are located on the left and right. The parking lot is very close to the 500-year-old forest chapel, where according to legend 'Jonker Jan De Rijcke, very devout in hunting, was defeated here by a wild boar.'
There are three routes marked, each with a length of 4.1 (blue), 4.7 (green), and 6.1 (red) km. You only need to cross the road for the green loop. You can easily combine the routes. The trails are flat and you alternately walk on the porphyry and sand paths that lead through this beautiful forest. The paths are very suitable for easy walking.
