Original Walk No. 13 (5 blocks = difficult) from 'Adventurous walks in the Belgian Ardennes'. Also viewable on the site of 'Original Walks'. The starting point is the viewpoint 'Le Tombeau du Géant', a beautiful panorama classified as a natural heritage of Wallonia. The legend says that an impressive large Gallic hero threw himself from the rock 'Rocher des Gattes' to avoid a life-and-death battle in the arena of the Colosseum. His body is said to be buried at the top of the hill surrounded by the river. A very varied walk with a few calf-busters, steep descents, secured single-person wide paths along rock walls, a ladder of 29 steps (part of 'Les Echelles' or the ladder walk), I think there will be traffic jams here at some moments, but we left early and just in time past this section of 'les Grandes Falloises'. Crossing the Semois twice, especially in summer a nice and refreshing extra, and several viewpoints such as: Les Eperviers, Clernot (viewpoint), Les Augustins, Point de vue de l'Epine, Pic du Diable, Osiris. The walk does not always follow standard paths, making it certainly adventurous. We took 7.5 hours, not because it was difficult or too heavy, but to enjoy the views, enjoy the Semois, enjoy the paths, and enjoy the picnic and stops with a view of the Semois valley.

You can view a photo series of the walk under the Route information section and then scroll to Routemedia and click on the source on the first photo. (with thanks to the walkers)

For your information: There is no replacement (read: no bridge) for crossing the Semois, so in some seasons the current can be too strong and impossible to walk.
