Dannenfels is a municipal community in the Donnersbergkreis district in Rhineland-Palatinate. It belongs to the municipal association of Kirchheimbolanden. Dannenfels is a state-recognized health resort.
Dannenfels is located in the North Palatinate Uplands at about 400 meters above sea level. The district includes a large part of the Donnersberg massif, including the summit itself. While the massif is forested, the fields in the protected mountain shadow below the village are used for the cultivation of fruit crops. The exposed location of the village offers a view over the entire Rhine valley up to the Kraichgau. The eastern part of the district is located in the Börrstadt depression, alternatively known as Kaiserstraße depression.
