The Devil's Pulpit near Lindewerra in the western part of the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld is a sandstone rock block located at about 452 meters above sea level on the ridge of Höheberg, which belongs to the Upper Eichsfeld and Lower Werrabergland. It offers good viewing opportunities, especially of the Werraschleife near Lindewerra.
The Devil's Pulpit is located in the northwest of the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park. It is situated northeast above the local community of Lindewerra on the ridge of the wooded Höheberg, about 1.1 kilometers south-southeast of its peak located on Junkerkuppe. The nearest town is Bad Sooden-Allendorf, approximately 6 km to the south; the district town of Heilbad Heiligenstadt is around 13 km to the northeast.
