Since 1986, the Metelen Land Railway Museum on the Münster–Enschede railway line, based in Metelen, has been run by the Metelen Railway Interest Group. operated and maintained. It is located in the former station building from the 19th century, which was saved from demolition when the station was converted back to a station in 1984. The building is a listed building. The station was located on the 64 km long Münster–Enschede railway and went into operation in 1875.
