The railway settlement Wedau is a factory settlement in Duisburg-Wedau. It was built as a garden city for the station and workshop staff of the Prussian railways from the beginning of the 20th century and has been a protected monument since 1999.
The settlement is located west of the Wedau train station. It is bordered to the north by Wedauer Straße and to the west by Kalkweg. To the south lies Lake Masurensee, which was already present as a gravel pit at the start of construction. Between meadows and pastures on marshy ground, the railway settlement emerged as the nucleus of today's district of Wedau.
