Kanurundtour over the Gülper Havel

Pure nature awaits you on a canoe trip in the Nature and Star Park Westhavelland. This circular tour takes you, among other things, over the natural Gülper Havel, where you can observe rare birds or with some luck also beavers.Due to bird breeding, this tour is only fully navigable from June 16th.Route:Route: Gülpe - 4 km - Strodehne - 1.5 km - Garz - 7.5 km - Molkenberg - 3 km - GülpeThe starting point is at the bivouac site in Gülpe, the beach invites you to take a refreshing swim before the tour, then continue downstream on the Gülper Havel towards the north. Shortly afterwards, you pass the Kahn lock in Gülpe, which you operate by hand.In Strodehne, you can have a picnic at the water canoeing rest area and use the playground there, there is a restaurant in the village. Behind Strodehne, you turn onto the main Havel, which you now paddle upstream. However, due to the low current, this is easily possible.In Garz, you can dock at the marina after only 1.5 km. There is also a restaurant here. Shortly after Garz is the large Garz lock, which is operated remotely.Molkenberg also has a water canoeing rest area for a break as well as a restaurant. Here, you turn back onto the Gülper Havel, where shortly afterwards you will find the former Molkenberg lock. This is no longer in operation, the lock gate is continuously open, and passage is therefore easily possible.Back in Gülpe, you can end the day at the beach with a barbecue area and fireplace. Spending the night at the bivouac site in a tent is of course also possible here.
