The start of this hike is in a sharp curve of Schützenplatzweg near the "Erlebnistage Harz" house. After a few meters in the forest, you will come across the extension of the Bohlwegloipe where you continue parallel until you reach a fork in the road. Turn right onto the "Alte Bobbahn", walk downhill to Wolfsbachstraße, then turn right uphill towards Hohegeiß, through Gretchental and into the Kurpark of Hohegeiß. The Wolfsbachtal is a protected area and the described path will take you above and below the nature reserve "Dicke Tannen".
