Before and behind the pre-dam wall, directly on the B 498, there are parking spaces.
You start the easy winter hike at the pre-dam wall of the Oker Dam. After crossing the pre-dam wall, continue to the left and follow the wide winter hiking trail, about 8 km above the shore of the Oker Dam, until you reach the main dam wall of the Oker Dam. By crossing the dam wall, you get an impression of the imposing structure and can enjoy a magnificent view of the Oker Valley and the surrounding mountains from here.
