Eisenach is a city in central Germany located about 166 kilometers west of Leipzig. The city center is located in the Mühlgraben valley and has a beautiful historic character with locations such as the Georgsbrunnen and the Georgenkirche. Eisenach is also the birthplace of Johann Sebastian Bach and the inhabitants are naturally very proud of that, as evidenced by the many references to his work and his life. In addition, there is also the imposing Wartburg which towers above the city as a perfect vantage point. These eye-catchers will of course all be seen during the walk and so it will certainly become clear that a trip to Eisenach is no lost effort.
