Confrides is a municipality in the comarca of Ribera in the Valencian Community, Spain. Located in the interior of the province of Alicante, in the region of Marina Baja. It has 261 inhabitants, divided into two population centers: Confrides and Abdet.
It is located next to the northern part of the Sierra de Aitana; whose summit, belonging to its municipal area, is in turn the summit of the province with 1558 m a.s.l.. The municipality of Confrides rises to 785 m a.s.l., making it one of the highest villages in the province of Alicante. It is also located in the upper part of the Guadalest Valley, on the border between the Marina and the mountain, which makes its municipality, of 42.20 km², offer many possibilities for hikers.
