Parroquia San Isidoro - Seville

The church is located on one of the highest points of the city , where archaeological excavations have found the city's first settlements. It belongs to the group of parishes founded immediately after the Castilian conquest of the city in 1248.

The current church was built in the mid-14th century , according to the Gothic-Mudejar parameters of the historical period in which it was built. At the end of the 16th century or the beginning of the 17th century, the entire choir of the church was rebuilt, enlarging the presbytery and creating two side chapels: the Chapel of San Juan Nepomuceno (later of the Villalpando family) and the Chapel of the Maestres . In the 18th century, the chapels of the gospel nave were added to the church and various renovations were carried out.
