Between forest and cultivated land

Walking along this path you will experience the variety and contrasts of the central Brabant countryside. On one side the forests of the Alphense Bergen and on the other side the open area where the Chaamse Heide once stood. That heather has had to die here. Man has won the battle in his efforts to secure the food supply.

But you can still enjoy the views with the church towers in the distance, the wide landscape where sun and clouds have free rein and the birds that have also found their place in this cultural landscape, although they have to settle for a lot less space than they used to on the Chaamse heide.
