The Maasduinen Bergerbos Afferden

Round trip through the Maasduinen.
The hike begins at the parking lot Het Quin, Nieuw Erfse Kerkweg Afferden.

From the starting point, you are immediately in the nature reserve with large heath areas and fens. You have a wonderful view of this on the path that leads over the hills of the dunes. It is a very extensive nature reserve.
Next, you come to a lookout tower. From the tower, you have an unobstructed view of the nature reserve, as well as the surrounding area, and you can see the church spires of the nearby villages. Further along is the Zevenboomsven, after which the hike continues through wide heath areas again. Via beautiful sandy and forest paths, you go to the Esven. Then through beautiful forest paths back to the starting point in the extensive Bergerwald. Along the way, you may also encounter Scottish Highland cattle.

At several points, there are benches with a truly beautiful view over the gentle heathlands and fens.
