Limburg Cycling and Grimpeur certainly did not play a chance in selecting the climbs in this route. The winding nature of the slopes is central. With the Slingerberg in Geulle you already get a small taste of what awaits you. But after it has been climbed, it is first time for some relaxation. Lust for the eyes and rest for the legs. The route crosses the Belgian border for a visit to the unspoilt Maasland. When the Flemish forests and water features have been seen, the moment of suprême of this trail is there.

The Zusserdel, also called Tienderberg, or simply in the Belgian vernacular "Slingerbergske" is one of the best kept secrets of the region. The winding slope is to get car sick. But a feast for cycling enthusiasts. Via a piece of Wallonia and back via the Kuitenberg you come back to Valkenburg.
