Wat Thai Watthanaram is in Tha Sai Luat Sub-district. It is a Mahayana Buddhist temple of the Thai Yai people. The temple was built in 1857 CE by Mr. Mung, a native of Shan State. Later, it was bestowed the name “Muen At Kham Haeng Han”, and in 1957 CE, the Ministry of Education announced it to become a Buddhist temple under the Department of Religious Affairs. In the temple's interior is enshrined the principal Buddha image, “Phra Phuttha Maha Muni”, a replicated image modelled on a sacred Buddha image of the people of Mandalay, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
