The villa is located in the middle of a romantic park that is also a design by this master. A true gem in terms of cultural-historical and architectural value. Victor Horta was one of the founders of Art Nouveau in our country. Most of his architectural masterpieces can be found in Brussels. Nevertheless, he built a country house outside our capital: the luxurious summer residence Villa Carpentier, here in Ronse. Horta never viewed architecture and interior design separately. His Villa Carpentier is therefore a true total project. Windows with stained glass, railings in cast iron, floors and walls adorned with lush floral patterns leave every visitor in awe. Even the park around the villa was designed by Horta. There is not a single tree in the way. In fact, each tree is planted with the view through the many windows in mind.
