Viewpoint Parc de Furfooz

The view from Parc de Furfooz over the Lesse River is truly spectacular and one of the highlights of the park.

During the hike, you climb to the top of the Furfooz limestone plateau, from where you overlook the deeply carved Lesse valley . You stand atop white limestone cliffs, with a view of the meandering river dozens of meters below. On clear days, you can see the Ardennes massif in the distance, wooded slopes, and the winding river that winds its way past rock faces, forests, and meadows.

The view is especially magical at sunrise or sunset : the morning mist in the valley or the golden evening light over the forests creates a picturesque scene.

You can regularly see birds of prey soaring above the valley (such as buzzards or peregrine falcons).
