Van Val-Dieu - Route du Val-Dieu, 4880 Aubel, Belgium

Our trip starts at the Abbey of Val-Dieu. We pass through the northern part of the Land of Herve, leaning against the Voer region. It is a green area with hills and bocage landscapes, orchards, and meadows surrounded by typical hedges that are clearly visible everywhere. It is the region of Herve cheese, fruit cultivation, and Liège syrup. As a drink, there is the well-known cider. The Abbey is a monastery of the Cistercians and is currently 807 years old. The inner courtyard and the garden in 19th-century style are freely accessible after our walk. Following that, we will go to Bistro LA CASSE-CROUTE for a meal of our choice. In a separate building, brewing still takes place (Visit?). Additional information, about 5 km away, there is a possibility for a toilet in the town of Aubel, Rue De Gorhez. After the trip, everyone is free to visit the inner courtyard and classified garden.
