3.3 km WALKING FROM TIME-OUT THROUGH A UNIQUE PIECE OF GENOELS!

If you are parked at Time-Out Genoelselderen, then start by going right, following Hoekstraat. 
After about 150 meters, turn right into Langsteeg and follow it until you reach a T-junction.
Turn left uphill. At the top, go right down De Gaendel. Here you will see beautiful high-stem fruit trees with hedges.
These are thorny hedges that served to keep livestock in the pasture, the most well-known being the hawthorn.
Following this beautiful winding path, you will return to a crossroads. Here, take the left.
You walk uphill into the fields, through a sunken road. (Heistraat).
At the fruit plantation, turn right. (Heiveld).
The fruit plantation consists of pear trees, Conference, the most cultivated variety in this region.
You cross the concrete road diagonally into the fields.
At the next intersection, keep right. With the vineyards (Kiezelingenbos) on the left, we descend Hoolstraat.
The Kiezelingen forest, planted in 1993 with Chardonnay and expanded in 2009 and 2010 with Chardonnay (8.5 ha) and Pinot Noir (3 ha). This is the largest vineyard in Belgium.
Here come the Black, Silver, and Rosé Pearls.
At the bottom on the concrete road, keep left, following the asphalt/gravel/concrete path downwards. (Keeping left of the gray farmhouse).
You pass the wine castle,
Castle Genoels-Elderen is the largest vineyard estate in Belgium with its 22 hectares of vineyards.
In 1990, the Van Rennes family revived the centuries-old wine culture.
Since then, the wine grape has completely returned to this beautiful landscape around the castle of Genoels-Elderen.
On the best slopes of the Limburg hills, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines were planted from 1991 onwards.
Then, at the next T-junction, keep right, and you will be back at Time-Out.
