The yellow route was established to give wheelchair users and strollers the opportunity to explore this watery area. The walk takes you to the Dauteweyers and lets you enjoy the banks of the Kaatsbeek.
This walking area in the southernmost part of the Wijers guides you through a great variety of landscapes around Diepenbeek. The entire area is extremely rich in water. There are several ponds with reed zones. Around these ponds are alder swamp forests and wet meadows. Together, these create the ideal habitat for the rare tree frog that feels at home here.
Throughout the area, the Demer, the Kaatsbeek, the Stiemerbeek, and the Laak meander.
