Near this hiking area Heesakkerheide, the picturesque Dommel meanders and you can discover mills in a varied landscape. You don't really pass along the river Dommel, but you will discover the Molenloop at the watermill 'Wedelse Molen'. If you're lucky, you might see the rare green butterfly in spring or the small kingfisher butterfly in summer. The municipal walking park Heesakkerpark offers various species of trees, an adventurous play area for children, a natural artwork on an islet, and a windmill. Make sure to take some time to visit the mills and the mill museum.
