The walking area is a place of contrasts, with on one side the vast fields at the foot of the Kempens Plateau and on the other side the small-scale landscape of the Brand in Voorshoven. Walk along the charming villages of Opitter and Tongerlo or explore the Zuid-Willemsvaart. Be surprised by the many watermills or the process of brewing beer at the brewery in Opitter. With some luck, you might spot the kingfisher or the yellowhammer, and in spring you will feel like you’re in De Brand at times in a tropical rainforest as the mysterious tree frogs try to outdo each other with their calls. Agriculture, nature, and water alternate. KempenBroek at its best!
