The Galloway cattle resemble bison ... hence the title ...
Easy parking at the entrance of the nature park at the bridge over the E403.
this route crosses Doeveren and Merkemveld. Despite the limited surface of this natural area (44ha), this is still a beautiful walk where the same point is visited from different directions . Initially mostly forest , in the last part there is more open boggy pasture where the Galloway cattle graze. Sufficient opportunity to relax on a couch.
The signposted walk "Doeveren" is shorter (5.7 km) but allows to explore the same area in a shorter way.
