Hennstedt is a municipality in the district of Steinburg in Schleswig-Holstein. The municipality includes the districts of Kamerun, Klein Hamburg, and Seelust.
Hennstedt is located about ten kilometers north of Kellinghusen in the Aukrug Nature Park. Bullenbach, Kirchweddelbach, and Aubek flow through the municipality. Near the town lies the Itzespitze, the highest elevation in the district of Steinburg. The state roads 121 and 123 intersect in Hennstedt.
